Who I Support
I work particularly with adults aged 25+ who want support with their recovery from alcohol or other substance use.
You may be at the beginning of making changes, returning to recovery after a lapse or relapse, or already in recovery but finding that certain areas are becoming difficult again.
You do not need to be at a particular stage before asking for support.
You may be looking for support because:
- you are struggling with triggers or cravings
- you have had a lapse or relapse and want help getting back on track
- you feel stuck in the same patterns
- your motivation has dropped
- your routines and self-care have started to slip
- guilt or shame is making it harder to move forward
- you are struggling with confidence or self-worth
- relationships or boundaries are affecting your recovery
- you are feeling isolated, overwhelmed or unsure what to do next
- you want more structure and practical support around your recovery
- you are doing reasonably well but want help strengthening what you have already built
Recovery does not look the same for everyone
Some people come to me when everything feels very difficult.
Others may be functioning day to day but know that something does not feel stable underneath.
You may have been through treatment before, worked with other services, stopped and started several times, or be trying to understand your substance use properly for the first time.
None of that means you have failed.
What matters is understanding where you are now, what is getting in the way, and what you would like to change.
Support that starts with you
I do not expect every client to need the same thing.
For one person, the priority may be cravings and relapse prevention. For someone else, it may be confidence, relationships, routine, motivation, boundaries or learning how to cope without substances.
We work from where you are and take things in small, manageable steps.
Recovery is a journey, and sometimes the next step is simply recognising that you do not have to work everything out on your own.

A note about the support I provide
Recovery For You Coaching is a coaching service and is not an emergency or crisis service.
Where someone needs medical treatment, detox support, specialist mental health care or urgent help, I would encourage them to access the appropriate professional service alongside or instead of coaching.
